Detailed Job Description

** This role can be done remotely from anywhere in Canada ** 

Marketing at Uncommon Purpose is responsible for helping incubate, scale and exit a variety of SaaS products and companies. Our portfolio spans industries, audiences, and solves for a variety of critical business challenges. 

As our Digital Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for the execution and optimization of digital campaigns across owned and paid channels for both Uncommon Purpose itself and our portfolio of product companies. From managing always-on digital advertising campaigns, to building and delivering content through social media, email marketing and other digital channels you are helping our product brands be found where and when they need. This role requires a strong passion for digital storytelling, SEO and SEM, content creation, and continuous improvement through analytics.

This role reports into our Senior Marketing Communications Manager.

  • 3-5 years experience in a digital marketing role, including SEM and digital advertising management
  • Completed post-secondary education in a relevant field, ideally communications or marketing
  • Proven experience managing digital marketing platforms including social media, email, and analytics
  • Experience with Google Suite (Ads, Analytics), Adobe Suite and marketing automation solutions. Experience managing ecommerce solutions a bonus
  • Strong writing and editing skills a must, with experience writing and optimizing both long and short form marketing content
  • Ability to learn new concepts and products quickly and accurately translate those concepts to your audience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment 
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, working with a variety of stakeholders, projects, and channels concurrently 
  • Proven project management skills across a range of communications disciplines
  • CMS experience (Webflow preferred)

What You Will Be Doing

  • Collaborate with Demand Generation, Brand and Design, Marketing Communications  and product management teams to strategize, plan and execute on all marketing campaigns that drive inbound traffic that converts
  • Own SEM and digital advertising campaigns, including evergreen advertising and conversion rate optimization, for our portfolio of product organizations
  • Optimize and manage a growing portfolio of social media profiles and presence to increase the visibility of each product brand
  • Build digital engagement and SEO strategies with an understanding of the user journey across all brand touchpoints 
  • Support in the development of product websites, content writing and CMS management
  • Create optimized content for blog, customer success stories and other digital properties that build trust and awareness of our products
  • Support in the development, content writing and optimization of automated email nurture campaigns and landing pages across the customer journey
  • Work closely with product teams to create and optimize in-product content as well as develop campaign strategies that are targeted, timely and data-driven
  • Monitor metrics for our website, social channels and other digital properties, track and report on overall monthly performance and campaigns, and use data to inform new strategies
  • Report on ROI and OKRs of marketing activities through accurate and consistent tracking of digital campaigns, including conversion
  • Explore new and trending digital marketing technologies and channels to make recommendations on future marketing investments
