Salary: $70,000-$85,000 per year + benefits

**This role is open to remote based candidates based in Canada with a preference for Pacific or Eastern time zones*

We’re looking for a QA Analyst to join our team and be part of our next stage of growth. As our QA Analyst, you will work with development in a cross functional team, directing testing efforts and discovering issues as early as possible in the cycle – this way you and your team can ship software continuously.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a QA role
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail – you catch things
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technically minded with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Personable and empathetic – you will need to understand and feel for our customers
  • Experience in writing automation tests against web applications a plus
  • Bonus points if:
    • You’ve worked in nonprofit, community centers.
    • You’re a results oriented person who likes to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
    • You’re energized by continuously delivering value to customers.
    • You’re confined only by your imagination, not your job description.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work with the product team to validate requirements and product solutions, finding gaps that others have missed, and to identify areas of high impact if automated testing were introduced
  • Define test scenarios with the development team
  • Work alongside development daily to provide quality insights, direct testing, and keep on top of incoming changes
  • Manual QA on new features to begin planning your test suites
  • Helping the wider team in determining standards and processes
  • Create documentation of application changes, configuration, or known issues

Compensation

At Traction Rec, we are committed to a fair, market-based and equitable compensation structure. Our market data is refreshed on an annual basis to reflect the most current market conditions.

The starting salary band for this role is $70,000-$85,000. Starting salaries will vary within this range based on experience, skill level, and internal equity related to the role.
