You will be part of a team of dedicated and passionate Civil Technicians to make sure our client’s projects are built with construction materials that meet their required specifications. Your new career will start with our Concrete Testing department.
We are the largest construction material testing company in Western Canada with 13 offices and over 200 employees. Everyday since 1987, our technicians are busy at our labs and on the road conducting testing of concrete, soil, and asphalt for our customers in the construction industry. We completed over 300,00 projects and many of them are high profile and long-term projects. None of these projects will be possible without the contributions from our dedicated team of engineers, geoscientists, technicians, technologists, and supporting staff.
The Field Concrete Testing Technician will be based out of our Burnaby office and service construction sites at Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam.
What you will be doing:
- Travelling to job sites to sample and test concrete
- Recording and reporting results
- Liaising with clients and site personnel
- Troubleshooting real time compliance issues in the field and monitoring non-compliance protocols
- Dropping off concrete samples at our Burnaby Lab

What you will need to have:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Previous customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kilos/50 lbs
- Good work ethics
What will give you bonus points:
- Knowledge or previous experience in construction materials testing
- Construction experience
- Graduate of 2 year Civil Engineering Diploma program
- Desire to start a career in construction materials testing
