Location: Canada

Job Type: 2-month Contract (Remote)

Salary: $5,000-$7,000 per month

*This role is open to remote based candidates based in Canada with a preference for PST/EST. Additionally, due to this being an urgent to fill position, recruitment will have very fast turnaround.*

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our team as a temporary contractor to support customer go lives. As a Data Analyst, your top priority is execution of data migrations (primarily through SQL Server or Salesforce API tools) of customer’s legacy data to Salesforce.

Traction Rec’rs come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from diverse backgrounds. For this role, you might have : 

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Advanced experience with Excel, including using complex formulas, pivot tables, and custom data models to format and validate data sets
  • Experience with data modeling, and building ETL pipelines is an asset
  • Experience delivering solutions in Microsoft SQL Server or on the Azure platform is an asset
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication for working with internal and external stakeholders

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Running data migrations for clients using existing technical procedures and scripts using both MSSQL Server processes and Salesforce Data Loading Tools
  • Support project teams both during testing and go live phases
  • Validate incoming data from customers, recommending ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Support customers with post go live data updates as required
  • Propose and maintain data solution strategies and roadmaps

Term & Compensation

This is a short term contract position until the end of November 2024, with the following compensation details:

  • Monthly rate: $5,000-$7,000, prorated based on your start date and dependent on experience, skill level, and internal equity to a comparable role.
  • Benefits: As a contractor, this role is not eligible for any benefits we offer, such as health insurance, paid time off, or our bonus program.
