Job Description:
VAN3D PHOTOGRAPHY INC. is seeking a talented Photographer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for capturing stunning visuals and storytelling through photography. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality images across various locations in the Greater Vancouver Area and adapting your work for multimedia projects.
Collaboration with clients to understand their vision is essential, along with a keen eye for detail and strong technical skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine picture composition and take photographs of individuals, families, groups, events, and real estate.
- Utilize airbrushing and digital techniques to retouch negatives and create polished final products.
- Operate optical microscopes to capture intricate details for artistic purposes.
- Adapt existing photographic images and create new digitized content for multimedia or new media products.
- Operate computers to manipulate photographic images.
- Capture spatial data with Matterport scanners to create immersive 3D virtual reality models and optimize virtual tours.
- Study assignment requirements to select appropriate camera, film, lighting, and background accessories.
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience (1 to 2 years in photography).
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of professional photography experience with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom); knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects is a plus.
- Proficiency in drone applications for photography and hands-on experience operating scanning equipment (e.g., Matterport) are required.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory.
- Keen attention to detail, including the ability to distinguish between colors.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments, meeting tight deadlines.
- Flexibility and initiative in handling multiple assignments and adapting to changing schedules.
- Well-organized, reliable, and a team player.
Work Conditions:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Frequent travel within the Greater Vancouver Area.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
